Who can withdraw

If you signed up as a private individual, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from a Motorbay subscription (forbrugeraftaleloven § 18). You don't have to give a reason.

If you signed up as a business, the right of withdrawal does not apply. You can still cancel at any time (see below).

How long you have

The period starts the day your subscription starts and runs for 14 days. It ends at midnight, Danish time, at the end of the 14th day. If that day is a Saturday, a Sunday, a Danish public holiday, Constitution Day (5 June), 24 December or 31 December, the period runs to the end of the next working day (§ 19).

How to withdraw

While the period is open, your account page shows a Withdraw from contract here (Fortryd aftale) button.

Select Withdraw from contract here.
Check the contract and enter your name.
Select Confirm withdrawal (Bekræft fortrydelse).

You can also email support@motorbay.app within the period. Saying clearly that you withdraw is enough. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but you don't have to.

Your withdrawal counts from the moment you confirm it. We email you a receipt right away with what you sent and the date and time we received it.

Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract. Copy it into an email to support@motorbay.app.

What happens next

Your subscription ends at once, and your API keys stop working.
We refund you through your original payment method, at the latest 14 days after we receive your withdrawal (§ 22).
If our payment provider is briefly unavailable, your withdrawal still counts. We finish the cancellation and refund as soon as it responds.

How much you get back

If you did not ask us to start right away: you get back everything you paid (§ 22).
If you asked us to start right away: at checkout, private individuals can tick a box asking us to start the subscription before the withdrawal period ends. The box is never ticked for you. If you ticked it and then withdraw, we keep the share of the current billing period you had used, counted in time, and refund the rest (§ 25). The share is rounded down in your favor.
During the free trial: you have paid nothing, so there is nothing to refund.

Usage charges are billed after each period. Withdrawing cancels them before they are billed.

Canceling after the withdrawal period

Anyone, private or business, can cancel at any time from the account page with Cancel subscription. The subscription runs to the end of the period you have paid for and is not renewed. Canceling after the withdrawal period does not give a refund for the rest of that period.
